The DAWN group was founded as a Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC) on January 8,  1996, by  Sardar Jaswant Singh Mann.
In January 1998, April 1999, and October 2000, the NBFC compliance requirements were changed to be much stricter. In the changed statutory environment, it was all over for the expansion of small nonbanking financial companies and so for us. However, unlike many others, we continued to move on with time.
At the Annual General Meeting of the Company held in September 2013, it was decided by the members to revitalize the company, expand into the diverse fields of the Financial Sector, and grow into a Global Financial Institution in line with the vision of the Founders. In addition to the existing business, expanded areas of operations would include but not be limited to acting as a money changer, to act as a broker in the insurance sector, to act as a preferred Investment Advisory, to act as an intermediary of Capital and Money markets, and providing ancillary services to commercial banks and Financial Institutions subject to statutory clearances from Reserve Bank of India, IRDA or any other applicable Regulator 
Since then, the company has reorganized itself and now has a qualified team of bankers having more than 150 years of cumulative experience. Besides the support staff, there is also a team of charted Accounts & Finance Professionals on board to look after the growing needs of the business, and now look forward to having a great future.
